The table show the top five emission reduction changes in pollutant releases into water in EU-27 Member States from 2010 to 2020.

Metadata

Methodology:: Pollutant releases reported under E-PRTR/LCP dataflow for the relevant pollutant have been aggregated at EU-27 level and an index against the 2010 level has been calculated. Releases from Cd, Hg, Ni and Pb are aggregated together.

Croatia joined the EU in June 2013, therefore, the comparison is made against 2014 emissions.

Countries that have not reported 2020 data are not included in this figure (Germany, Lithuania, Italy, Malta, Slovakia). Estonia reported data under E-PRTR without including any water releases.

A white cell indicates that either 2010 or 2020 data were not reported.
