This figure shows the greenhouse gas emission targets, historical and future trends for the EU Member States (EU-27).

Additional information

The historical development of GHG emissions is shown excluding LULUCF (light blue solid line) and including LULUCF (dark blue solid line). Both of these trend lines extend through 2020, with 2021 representing approximated values. The light blue line relates to the scope of the 2020 target, while the dark blue line reflects the 2030 target scope. Projections are shown in the two dashed dark blue lines according to the 2030 target scope, starting from 2020. The projections reflect the most recent updates submitted by Denmark, Ireland and Latvia in 2022, and by all other Member States in 2021.
