In 2017, the EU produced 7.4 kg and imported 27.9 kg of textiles per person, while exporting 11.2 kg and consuming nearly 26 kg per person. This implies that the EU is a net importer of textiles. Comext trade data provide the trade data of EU-28 with non-EU-28 countries, at detailed product level. Eurostat, EU trade since 1988 by HS2-HS4 [DS-016894], last update 15.02.19. Sold production data provide the production data of EU-28 countries, at detailed product level, last update 31.07.2019.
