Ecosystem type map v2.1 - aggregated classes - (EUNIS Level 2) derived from CORINE Land Cover and additional spatial explicite european datasets according to defined rule set. The rule set builds on the crosswalk between EUNIS nomenclature and CORINE Land Cover nomenclature. The multiple assignements are resolved using additional data like Art. 17 reporting data on habitat types, soil data, HANTS phenological data, potential natural vegetation, elevation zones, etc.
How to read the map: Cool nights are defined as being below the 10th percentile of the daily minimum temperature. Grid boxes outlined in solid black contain at least 3 stations and so are likely to be more representative of the grid-box. Higher confidence in the long-term trend is shown by a black dot.
Dotted lines until 2030 represent projected emissions from Member States and the European Commission. In the ‘with existing measures’ scenario, projections from Member States take into account implemented or adopted national measures at the time of the preparation of projections, i.e. by mid-2012. These projections do not cover the full implementation of the 2020 EU Climate and energy package and underlying legislation, which are included in the European Commission's 'with adopted measures' baseline scenario. In the 'with additional measures' scenario, projections take into account the national measures that were at planning stage in Member States at the time of the preparation of projections.
Time series of the indexed values of gross domestic product (GDP), stocks of cars, total CO2 emissions of cars, total car kilometres travelled, total fuel consumption of private cars and average specific fuel consumption of cars.
This map shows the percentage marine protected area (MPA) coverage in Europe's regional seas. It also shows the distance to the Convention on Biological Diversity Aichi target 11 of 10 % coverage. The distance from the network coverage to the coverage target is reported with respect to three different distance buffer zones: 0-1 NM, 1-12 NM and 12 NM - END of national waters (NM = nautical miles, END = outer limit of MPA assessment area).
The map shows marine dump sites of munitions, as confirmed, reported or suspected.
The map provides an overview of wind farm areas in all stages of development in Europe. The pie chart shows the different levels of development %.
