Data Table
This page was archived on 07 Jul 2014 with reason: Other (New version data-and-maps/data/waterbase-lakes-10 was published)
The Stations table contains the physical characteristics of the Eionet-Water lake monitoring stations. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Stations with their respective Quality and Pressures data.

Longitude Longitude (X) International geographical co-ordinates of the monitoring station in decimal degrees. float(8) 0
Impactstation Impact station impact station: 1 = yes, 0 = no. int(4) 0
Reservoir Reservoir reservoir or natural lake: 1 = yes (reservoir), 0 = no (lake). int(4) 0
LargestLake Largest lake one of the largest lakes: 1 = yes, 0 = no. int(4) 0
ReferenceLake Reference lake indicates whether the lake is considered a reference lake (1 = yes, 0 = no). int(4) 0
RepresentativeLake Representative lake representative lake: 1 = yes, 0 = no. int(4) 0
Country Country official short name in English. nvarchar(50) 0
WaterbaseName WaterbaseName name of the monitoring station for rivers, lakes, transitional, coastal and marine waters and water quantity, or name of the groundwater body. nvarchar(200) 0
NationalStationID National station ID national station identifier for rivers, lakes, transitional, coastal and marine waters and water quantity monitoring station. For transitional, coastal and marine waters, areas are recorded and reported as a discrete location, but location may relate to a station at a fixed geographical point, a broader area in which sampling locations vary from survey to survey or an area within a defined salinity range within which samples have been taken. When calculating loads, the national station identifier used should be the same ID previously supplied to represent the (flux) river monitoring station. nvarchar(200) 0
WaterDataset Water data set RV = River, LK = Lake, GW = Groundwater, TCM = Transitional, Coastal or Marine Water, QA = Water Quantity. varchar(3) 0
Region Region region in which water body is located at the national level. varchar(200) 0
CountryCode Country code ISO 3166-alpha-2 code elements. varchar(2) 0
WaterbaseID Waterbase ID internally produced, unique identifier used to represent the monitoring station for rivers, lakes, transitional, coastal and marine waters and water quantity, and groundwater body, in the format CountryCode_WaterDataSet_NationalStationID (e.g. GB_RV_12345). varchar(200) -1
DataSource Data source source of data: Eionet-Water, ICES. varchar(50) 0
