Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) are a group of compounds containing carbon, fluorine and hydrogen (unlike hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), which also contain chlorine). They are generally colourless and odourless gases at environmental temperatures and for the most part chemically unreactive.
