Under the title "Why the world of trade is changing for the better" the European Trade Commissioner, Pascal Lamy, invites you to participate in an Internet chat on 12 July between 6-8 pm. Commissioner Lamy says: "The accession of China to the WTO reinforces the need to reflect on how to reform the WTO in order that the multilateral trading system be better organised and further liberalised in the interest of the citizen and businesses of all sizes. That it is why I continue to work for the launch of a comprehensive new trade round. The EU believes a new round should not be limited to traditional issues such as market access, but must also address new issues of concern to citizens the world over such as health, the environment and consumer protection, which are essential for the harmonious and sustainable development of trade. " More information can be found at: http://europa.eu.int/comm/chat/lamy3/
