This satellite-derived image shows local slope direction. The reddish colours face the southwards, and therefore are expected to get more sun exposure, while 'cooler' colours face towards the north, being less exposed to sun radiation. Such information can be used to permit vinegrowers to allocate optimal sites for cultivating particular grape species. Copyright: ESA
