UN world urbanization prospects: The 2014 revision

The figure is based on data from the ‘UN world urbanization prospects: The 2011 revision’ (published in 2012). The 2011 revision data have been replaced with the 2014 revision data shortly before the publishing of this briefing and are therefore no longer available for download on the UN DESA webpages. However, the 2011 revision data may be still available upon personal request.

Please also note that the 2014 revision classifies an urban agglomeration as 300 000 Inhabitants or more as in 2014, while the 2011 revision defines an urban agglomeration as 750 000 inhabitants as in 2011.
