Ecologic Institute is a transdisciplinary research organization focusing on environmental issues. In addition, the researchers at Ecologic Institute provide policy analyses and consulting services. Ecologic Institute has offices in Berlin, Brussels, Washington DC and San Mateo CA. As a private, independent institute, Ecologic Institute is devoted to the task of addressing the relevant sociopolitical questions of sustainability research and to bring new insights into environmental policy. Innovative research approaches, an orientation toward practice, and a transdisciplinary approach ensure the scientific quality and societal relevance of Ecologic Institute's work. It encompasses the whole spectrum of environmental topics, including the integration of environmental issues into other policy fields. Ecologic Institute was founded in 1995 and is a partner in the network of the Institute for European Environmental Policy and a member of the Ecological Research Network (Ecornet) (link is external). Today, around 150 employees and associates are working in international and interdisciplinary project teams. Ecologic Institute is a public interest organization; donations are tax deductible.
