Do you like photography and nature? Then you might help determine this year's Public Choice Award winner for the European Environment Agency's (EEA) 'Resilient by Nature' photo competition. Check out the finalists and cast your vote for your favourite photos, starting today.

Every year, the EEA organises a photo competition to raise awareness of an environmental issue. The 2026 edition of the EEA photo competition invited citizens across Europe to capture the many ways nature sustains life, responds to pressures and recovers in a changing world.

Out of thousands of amazing entries we received, a total of 47 finalists have been short-listed across 4 thematic categories (Harmony, Disruption, Renewal and Youth). A separate jury, composed of communication experts, will select the winners in each thematic category.

The finalists are also competing for the Public Choice Award — and this is where your votes matter. The finalist with the highest number of votes will win this award.

Voting is easy. Simply use the online voting form, select as many photos as you like and submit your vote. But you can vote only once!

The public vote is open from 14 to 27 September. All the winners will be announced on Friday, 9 October.
