Trends in oxygen (O₂) concentrations in the near-bottom layer by concentration group (2000-2024)

The charts illustrate trends in summer-autumn dissolved oxygen (DO) concentrations (mg/l) in near-bottom waters during 2000-2024. Results are shown for the Baltic Sea and North-East Atlantic and grouped by DO concentration: <4mg/l, 4-6mg/l and >6mg/l. Green bars represent the number of time series from grid cells with significant (p<0.05) decreasing trends; orange bars indicate significant increasing trends; and grey bars indicate no significant trends. P is a statistical measure indicating the probability that an observed trend is statistically significant.
