This figure shows the share of renewable energy (RES) utilised in the EU-27 across the sectors of electricity, heating and cooling, transportation, and the overall energy use. These percentages are presented as a share of the gross final energy consumption across the different categories. 2005-2023 data based on Eurostat, while the 2024 values are based on EEA early estimates for 2024.
