Evolution of net GHG emissions per Member State: 1990-2023

In this figure, on the x-axis the Member States’ total net Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions are displayed. These include removals and emissions from Land Use, Land-Use Change, and Forestry (LULUCF) activities, while on the y-axis these are excluded. Emissions from international aviation and international navigation are not taken into account. Please note that the climate targets for Member States within the Effort Sharing Regulation (ESR) are not related with the total net GHG emissions mentioned in this figure, as these totals also include Emission Trading Sector (ETS) and LULUCF emissions. The point of Cyprus is outside of the scope of this figure with 57% net and 58 % gross increase of emissions.
