Methodology
Data are from the Member States’ reports on the use of EU ETS auctioning revenues under Article 17 of the Monitoring Mechanism Regulation (MMR) (from 2013 to 2019), and Article 5 of the Governance Regulation (from 2020), reported by Member States to the EEA (publicly available on reportnet.europa.eu), and then quality checked by the European Commission and used in the EU Climate Action Progress report - October 2024, published by the European Commission.
