Part of the European Green Deal, the ‘Farm to Fork’ strategy will help to redesign our food systems, which today account for a large amount of global greenhouse gas emissions, consume many natural resources, and often result in biodiversity loss and negative health impacts.

This strategy will aim to reduce the use of pesticides, tackle excess nutrients and anti-microbial resistance, and boost organic farming in the EU. It aims to create a healthy food system, mitigate the impacts of agriculture on climate change, reverse the loss of biodiversity and generate fairer economic revenues for those working in the sector. Several advisory services, as well as financial instruments and research and innovation will help make this transition.
