Peak season ozone levels in European cities — sector contributions and cost of premature deaths
Dashboard
Source apportionment: Data are not publicly available, source apportionment was calculated at each grid point of the estimation domain (CAMS modelling domain) using simulation outputs from the Chemistry-Transport Model CHIMERE, following the same approach (Air Control Toolbox – ACT) as presented on the CAMS Policy Support Service website for the referenced cities. Estimates were then extracted for the cities included in the Burden of Disease study, in order to obtain a source apportionment, estimate for each city and each day of the year 2024. This value corresponds to the spatial average of the source apportionment computed over the model grid cells intersecting the shapefile of each city. A temporal average is finally calculated over the April–September period to estimate the source apportionment for the peak season.
