This figure shows the total EU day-ahead electricity bill for the observed scenario (SC0) and two modelled scenarios (SC1 and SC2), for the first sixteen weeks of 2026. The total cost is for wholesale electricity markets only.

Total cost estimate for the first 16 weeks of 2026 (January to mid-April) obtained by multiplying the observed electricity demand by the scenario-specific EU average wholesale electricity price. Estimates for SC1 and SC2 are also based on actual demand over the period.
