Gas influence and RES % in the mix vs Average Electricity Price (2026)

RES = renewable energy sources. DELU represents the joint electricity market of Germany and Luxembourg. Gas influence and RES generation are two different metrics and are not intended to add up to 100% on the left axis. Gas influence is the share of hours in which gas-fired plants set the electricity price (see Box 2); RES generation is the share of total electricity generated from renewable sources. Measuring different factors, one reflects price-setting hours, while the other reflects renewable electricity output.
