- The graph represents the yearly average mobile phone ‘durability’ and ‘repairability’ rating for 2020 to 2024, the yearly number of observations or mobile phones assessed and the (approximate and aggregated) market share represented by the brands available in the EU.
- The Eco Rating system translates raw data from device manufacturers, gathered through a detailed questionnaire, into environmental impact scores using a Life Cycle Assessment. These scores are expressed in milli points and then converted to a scale of 0 to 100 for labelling, with adjustments based on the type of device.
- The methodology has been revised as of 2023 to reflect the latest device technologies and upcoming legislation. Devices assessed with the 2023 version/methodology are therefore not comparable with the previous versions. Source: ETC CE own calculations based on Eco Rating data.
