Unit consumption per employee is the ratio between the energy consumption (total or electricity) and the number of employees (salaries employed in full time). The energy (or electricity) intensity is the ratio between the energy (electricity) consumption and the value added expressed in constant Euros (M€2000)

The value for the whole tertiairy is expressed in Millions of euro, chain-linked volumes, reference year 2000 (at 2000 exchange rates) and is the sum of 3 branches:

Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles and personal and household goods; hotels and restaurants; transport, storage and communication
Financial intermediation; real estate, renting and business activities
Public administration and defence, compulsory social security; education; health and social work; other community, social and personal service activities; private households with employed persons
