Methodology:: Emission limits were taken from
1) Large Combustion Plant Directive 2001/80/EC for existing plants burning solid fuel other than biomass (02 content 6 %) above 300 MWth (SO2) and above 500MWth (NOx, dust);
2) 2006 Large Combustion Plant Best Available Technique Reference Document under the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Directive 2008/1/EC for existing plants burning coal and lignite above 300MWth;
3) Industrial Emission Directive 2010/75/EU (IED) for existing plants (from 2002 or younger) burning coal and lignite above 300 MWth;
4) 2017 Best Available Technique conclusion under the IED for existing plants burning coal and lignite above 300 MWth (for NOx and SO2 (fluidised bed boilers)) and 300-1000 MWth for dust.
