See all EU institutions and bodiesThis webinar, organised by the EEA, will explore how data from the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS) can support LULUCF greenhouse-gas inventories, with a focus on land-use tracking and soil organic carbon estimation. It will combine an introduction to the structure and evolution of the IACS data, with practical guidance and examples of how Member States integrate these datasets into inventory systems, including the opportunities and limitations associated with their use.
About
This webinar will examine how IACS-related data can contribute to two key areas of LULUCF inventory development: land-use tracking and soil organic carbon estimation. It will discuss the structure and evolution of IACS data, their relevance for land representation and activity data, and the methodological and practical considerations involved in integrating them into national inventory systems.
The webinar will combine methodological guidance with country experience, including a practical example from Poland. It will also look ahead to future opportunities for improving interoperability between agricultural monitoring systems and climate reporting, including in the context of the proposed European Land Monitoring System (ELMS).
