Additionally, the Nature Conservation Regional Commissions, established under the same law, play a crucial role as an important management mechanism in ensuring the effective, careful and transparent management of protected areas. Türkiye prioritises an ecological-based scientific and sustainable approach to designating and managing protected areas, considering ecological, social and economic factors, while implementing strategies like ecological corridors and conducting in-depth research to conserve biodiversity and mitigate environmental impacts.
