The primary energy consumption (PEC) in 2023 was 2.52 Mtoe and the final energy consumption (FEC) was 1.87 Mtoe. Based on the updated national energy and climate plan, the national indicative contribution to the EU energy efficiency target is expressed as a maximum PEC of 2.1 Mtoe and a maximum FEC of 1.8 Mtoe by 2030.
