Recycling of waste polystyrene

The Slovak company SLOVIZOL, s.r.o. (s.r.o. means Ltd.) provide collection of waste polystyrene from construction sites, but also from citizens.  

This collection is ensured in cooperation with the Association of Manufacturers and Processors of EPS - EPS SR. Containers are placed directly in the partner construction material shops, where customers can bring free of charge the polystyrene left on the construction site, or the scraps that have been generated. Slovizol provides collection from these sites at its own expense. In addition, polystyrene can also be handed over to the collection yards involved in this activity. A map of collection sites is available on the website of the EPS SR association - thanks to it, a citizen can find out in which towns polystyrene can be handed over to a collection yard, but also which collection yards send EPS for recycling and which do not. There are various uses for recycled EPS. It can be used as an additive in the manufacture of a new product while maintaining the same quality.  Also as an admixture to other building materials - used for the production of mortars, light porous bricks, concrete, etc.. It can also be used, for example, for the production of backdrops and decorations, or even as a filling for seating bags - as an addition to the primary material. In addition to the company SLOVIZOL, s.r.o., also the company POLYFORM, s. r. o. provides recycling of waste EPS in Slovakia.
