Agricultural area
This metadata refers to the dataset providing spatial information for "agricultural area" . The methodological procedure to identify the agricultural area is based on the Corine Land Cover (CLC) pan-European Copernicus product as basic geographical skeleton that is spatially refined with Copernicus High Resolution Layers (HRL), local components and some manual corrections. This spatial layer aims to be a spatial reference of agricultural area for the indicator on woody landscape features within agricultural areas in Europe. The layer can support indicator developments for monitoring the target of 10% of agricultural land covered by high-diversity landscape features under the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 and for assessing the impact of the Common Agricultural Policy related to the strategic objective of protecting biodiversity, enhancing ecosystem services and preserve habitats and landscapes.
