Additional information

Road freight transport is assigned to the country of origin of the transport vehicle in EU statistics rather than to where the vehicles drive. Because a significant number of vehicles from EU-10 Member States perform transport services in EU-15 Member States the numbers for EU-10 Member States in particular are uncertain, albeit the trend is expected to be correct. No data available for Liechtenstein, Malta, Romania and Switzerland.
