These results and figures are free of copyrights for publications (edition, web, ...). Dutch Butterfly Conservation should be cited in any of these publications.

By removing dead or dying trees from woodland, a section of the natural nutrient-cycle can be lost. A lack of dead wood reduces species diversity by about 20 %. Avoid removing dead wood from your property. You could be doing away with thousands of invertebrate species and fungi.
