Using Eurostat data for 1) the percentage of surface and groundwater abstraction as a share of available resources for abstraction and 2) the amount of surface and groundwater abstraction in millions of cubic meters for the above mentioned mentioned countries. We calculated the available water resources for each country; this was done by dividing the absolute water abstraction by share of abstraction for each country. The total abstraction as well as the total available resources for the region covered by the above mentioned countries also needed to be calculated. This was done by summing up the values for all individual countries. The final numbers for the indicator were then calculated by dividing the total water abstraction by the total water available for abstraction.

Choose your pet carefully and think before buying an exotic animal
Reptiles, birds and fish are often taken from their natural habitats. The black market for exotic pets has devastated entire populations of species, and it is still the fastest growing sector in the pet market.
