Waterbase - TCM: FluxStations

Data Table
This page was archived on 26 Jun 2015 with reason: Other (New version data-and-maps/data/waterbase-transitional-coastal-and-marine-waters-11 was published)
The FluxStations table contains the physical characteristics of the Eionet-Water transitional, coastal and marine water stations used to monitor riverine input loads, provided by national sources or Marine Conventions. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the FluxStations with their respective Input (load) data.

Table definition
SeaRegionName Sea Region name regional sea name of which sea area is a part. Consistent with Marine Convention nomenclature. nvarchar(200) 0
SeaConventionArea Marine convention area name of Marine Convention area. nvarchar(200) 0
WaterbodyID Water body ID national identification code of marine water body (if applicable) that the flux station relates to. Water body as defined / required by Water Framework Directive. A water body may be related to more than one flux station. nvarchar(200) 0
WaterBodyName Water Body Name name of water body in which monitoring station is located. Water body as defined / required by Water Framework Directive. A water body may be related to more than one flux station. nvarchar(200) 0
SeaAreaName Sea area name sea area name or identifier into which river discharges, marine water is located, or direct discharge enters. Consistent with Marine Convention nomenclature. nvarchar(200) 0
NationalStationID National Station ID national station identifier for rivers, lakes, transitional, coastal and marine waters and water quantity monitoring station. For transitional, coastal and marine waters, areas are recorded and reported as a discrete location, but location may relate to a station at a fixed geographical point, a broader area in which sampling locations vary from survey to survey or an area within a defined salinity range within which samples have been taken. When calculating loads, the national station identifier used should be the same ID previously supplied to represent the (flux) river monitoring station. nvarchar(200) 0
RiverName River name River name at the national level. nvarchar(200) 0
CatchmentName Catchment name catchment name at the national level. For transitional, coastal and marine waters, catchment name refers to major river catchment or basin draining into transitional or coastal water. nvarchar(200) 0
Country Country Official short name in English nvarchar(50) 0
WaterbaseID WaterbaseID internally produced, unique identifier used to represent the monitoring station for rivers, lakes, transitional, coastal and marine waters and water quantity, or groundwater body, in the format CountryCode_WaterDataSet_NationalStationID (e.g. GB_RV_12345). nvarchar(200) -1
WaterbaseName Waterbase name name of the monitoring station for rivers, lakes, transitional, coastal and marine waters and water quantity, or name of the groundwater body. nvarchar(200) 0
Longitude Longitude (X) international geographical co-ordinates of the monitoring station in decimal degrees. float(8) 0
Latitude Latitude (Y) international geographical co-ordinates of the monitoring station in decimal degrees. float(8) 0
CountryCode Country Code ISO 3166-alpha-2 code elements. varchar(2) 0
DataSource Data source source of data: Eionet-Water, ICES. varchar(50) 0
WaterDataset Water data set RV = River, LK = Lake, GW = Groundwater, TCM = Transitional, Coastal or Marine Water, QA = Water Quantity. varchar(3) 0
