Waterbase - Quantity: Stations

Data Table
This page was archived on 25 Aug 2017 with reason: A new version has been published
The Stations table contains the physical characteristics of the Eionet-Water water quantity monitoring stations. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Stations with their respective Quantity data.

Table definition
Latitude Latitude (Y) international geographical co-ordinates of the monitoring station in decimal degrees. float(8) 0
CatchmentArea Catchment area upstream catchment area in km2. float(8) 0
Altitude Altitude altitude of monitoring station in m above sea level. float(8) 0
Longitude Longitude (X) international geographical co-ordinates of the monitoring station in decimal degrees. float(8) 0
IndexStation Index station index station for precipitation or discharge monitoring, used for spatial aggregation (1 = yes, 0 = no). int(4) 0
PrecipitationStation Precipitation station rain gauge station which also measures snowfall: 1 = yes, 0 = no. int(4) 0
ReferenceStation Reference station reference station: 1 =yes, 0 = no. int(4) 0
FluxStation Flux station flux station: 1 =yes, 0 = no. int(4) 0
RiverName River name river name at the national level. nvarchar(200) 0
Region Region region in which water body is located at the national level. nvarchar(200) 0
Country Country name (ISO 3166-1) official short name in English. nvarchar(100) 0
WaterbaseName Waterbase name name of the monitoring station for rivers, lakes, transitional, coastal and marine waters and water quantity, or name of the groundwater body. nvarchar(200) 0
NationalStationID National station ID national station identifier for rivers, lakes, transitional, coastal and marine waters and water quantity monitoring station. For transitional, coastal and marine waters, areas are recorded and reported as a discrete location, but location may relate to a station at a fixed geographical point, a broader area in which sampling locations vary from survey to survey or an area within a defined salinity range within which samples have been taken. When calculating loads, the national station identifier used should be the same ID previously supplied to represent the (flux) river monitoring station. nvarchar(200) 0
WaterDataset Water data set RV = River, LK = Lake, GW = Groundwater, TCM = Transitional, Coastal or Marine Water, QA = Water Quantity. varchar(3) 0
CountryCode Country code ISO 3166-alpha-2 code elements. varchar(2) 0
WaterbaseID Waterbase ID internally produced, unique identifier used to represent the monitoring station for rivers, lakes, transitional, coastal and marine waters and water quantity, or groundwater body, in the format CountryCode_WaterDataSet_NationalStationID (e.g. GB_RV_12345). varchar(200) -1
DataSource Data source source of data: Eionet-Water, ICES. varchar(50) 0
