The FluxStations table contains the physical characteristics of the Eionet-Water transitional, coastal and marine water stations used to monitor riverine input loads, provided by national sources or Marine Conventions. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the FluxStations with their respective Input (load) data.

A transitional, coastal or marine station should be a geographically fixed location, an area in which actual sampling locations vary from survey to survey or an area within a defined salinity range within which samples have been taken. Each station is referred to be its single, central location. For transitional, coastal or marine flux stations, the NationalStationID should be the same as that provided for the river flux station.
