The event will address questions related to the current barriers to the participation of the private sector in a future REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) scheme and present some ideas of how these can be removed as well as what the institutional set-up for the REDD under the UNFCCC (UN Framework for Climate Change Convention) could look like. David Stanners, Head of International Cooperation at EEA participates on behalf of the EEA.
