'Planet RE-think' – a new documentary
The premiere of the documentary 'Planet RE-think', produced by the EEA in partnership with UNEP. The documentary focuses on how global economic growth is currently built around consuming more and the belief that 'Nature doesn't have a price'. The documentary calls for a fundamental rethinking of the way our wealth is measured. A shift from measuring through the narrow lens of GDP to the way we use resources and any associated social and environmental costs. In the documentary, resource use and new approaches to measure wealth are demonstrated from a global perspective, with emphasis on the interlinkages Europe faces today.
