Analysis of key trends and drivers in greenhouse gas emissions in the EU between 1990 and 2014
This paper briefly analyses the major factors that accounted for decreased greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions excluding land use, land use changes and forestry (LULUCF) in the EU-28. It consists of two parts: the first part looks at the year 2014 compared to 2013 and the second part looks at the whole period between 1990 and 2014. The data is based on the EU’s GHG inventory submission to UNFCCC in 2016. The paper ends with a quick overview of emission estimates for 2015 from other sources.

Approximated EU GHG inventory: early estimates for 2010
This report provides an early estimate of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the EU‑15 and EU‑27 for the year 2010. The official submission of 2010 data to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will occur in 2012.
Approximated EU GHG inventory: proxy GHG estimates for 2017
This report provides GHG emissions estimates for the EU-28 plus Iceland for 2017. This Executive Summary includes an analysis of the important changes in GHG emissions across the EU, by sector and by Member State. Emissions for EU plus Iceland have increased by 24 million tonnes of CO2-equivalents (Mt CO2-eq) or 0.6 % (total GHG emissions without LULUCF, including indirect CO2 and not including international aviation emissions).

Different emission estimates by EU bodies/institutions
The objective of this paper is to give a snapshot of the key GHG emission estimates which are regularly published by EU bodies. There is a light update of the paper every year in May as a joint effort of the four institutions involved: DG Climate Action of the European Commission (DG CLIMA), the Joint Research Centre (DG JRC), Eurostat (Eurostat), and the European Environment Agency (EEA) – who coordinates the final product.

Electric vehicles in Europe
This report provides a non-technical summary of the latest information on electric road vehicles in Europe, including those with hybrid technologies. It focuses upon electric passenger vehicles, explaining the different types that are now available on the market, how each type works, and their respective advantages and disadvantages.
Delivery drones and the environment
A technology with uncertain potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from e-commerce and the logistics industry and concerns over increased noise pollution and threats to wildlife.
Artificial meat and the environment
An appealing innovation with highly uncertain potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enable more sustainable use of natural resources.

Specific CO2 emissions from road passenger and freight transport in Europe, 1995, 2005 and 2011
The graph shows development of specific CO2 emissions for the road transport mode, by category (passenger cars, vans, two wheelers, buses & coaches, light-duty vehicles, heavy-duty vehicles) in 1995, 2005 and 2011. Data coverage: EEA-32 excluding Iceland and Liechtenstein
Specific CO2 emissions per passenger-km and per mode of transport in Europe, 1995-2011
The graph shows development of specific CO2 emissions, defined as emissions of CO2 per transport unit (passenger-km), by passenger transport mode (road, rail, maritime, air) over the period 1995 to 2011. Data coverage: EEA-32 excluding Iceland and Liechtenstein
