The third edition of the Special Session Photovoltaics | Forms | Landscapes will take place within the 28th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition to be held in Paris on the 1st October 2013.
In the upcoming 3rd edition the organiser of the event would like to extend the visions presented towards the opportunity of demonstrating “The Beauty of Designed Photovoltaics ". The target audience present at this conference, about 4000 scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, financing organisations and political decision makers, is not normally aware of the opportunity of the very specific features Photovoltaics can offer for adding a positive experience of this new energy system which starts to be visible in our daily life at little extra cost for the design.
With the rising number of photovoltaic installations, being on building roofs, as integrated systems in the urban environment or as large fields, the acceptability by the citizen becomes an increasing issue, in the case of larger installations also a problem with authorities.
On this 3rd event the organisers want to display the current top end of a design approach to photovoltaic systems in a more holistic approach. Therefore, the agenda has been divided into four sessions with invited presenters addressing the different scales at which photovoltaics, if conceived as an element of design, interacts with the citizen: modules; buildings; urban spaces; landscapes.
Architects and project developers wishing to present already completed or ongoing projects, should apply using the online form available at:
by Friday 30 August 2013 close of business.
A committee will select the works to be delivered as oral/visual presentations. All the selected works will be published in the event proceedings.
