European Court of Auditors Award for research into public sector auditing
The European Court of Auditors (ECA) has launched the second edition of the “European Court of Auditors Award for research into public sector auditing” for academic research linked to public audit and to the ECA’s mission and values in order to provide an incentive and recognition for research on public-audit-related issues.
The winner will receive from the ECA 5000 euros, a medal and an award certificate.
The second edition of the ECA Award will pay tribute to the memory of Juan Manuel Fabra Vallés, former President of the ECA, who has contributed greatly to the development of the ECA as the external auditor of the EU finances during his office as a Member of the ECA and in particular during his Presidency of the institution.
A rotting log is a mini nature reserve in its own right!
By removing dead or dying trees from woodland, a section of the natural nutrient-cycle can be lost. A lack of dead wood reduces species diversity by about 20 %. Avoid removing dead wood from your property. You could be doing away with thousands of invertebrate species and fungi.
