The chart displays changes in nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) emission intensity of food industry between 2004 and 2009. Nutrient emission intensity is expressed as kilogram of nutrients equivalent (P) discharged in water per unit of production of food industry (expressed as one million Euro gross value added).
