The values for EU-15 were calculated by adding the values for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom. The values for EU-12 were calculated by adding the values for Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. The values for EU-27 + CH, HR, NO were calculated by adding the values for EU-15, EU-12, Norway, Switzerland, and Croatia. Countries do not have to report on hazardous waste generation to the European Commission, but they report on a voluntary basis. The data gaps that exist are extrapolated by the ETC/SCP using the previous/next year’s data.
