Additional information

All prices are 2001 prices. Trends in non-Eurozone Member States (Denmark, Sweden and UK) may partly be explained by changes in exchange rates. The dotted line represents a "best case" (lowest) estimate for marginal external and infrastructure costs (MEC) of a 40-tonne Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV), derived from (Infras /IWW, 2000). See TERM 2002 25 - EU External costs of transport.
