Waterbase is the generic name given to the EEA's databases on the status and quality of Europe's rivers, lakes, groundwater bodies and transitional, coastal and marine waters, and on the quantity of Europe's water resources
The QualitySediment table contains aggregated data on hazardous substances in sediment, measured at Eionet-Water transitional, coastal or marine water monitoring stations, provided by national sources or Marine Conventions. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Quality data with their respective Stations and Pressures data.
The FluxStations table contains the physical characteristics of the Eionet-Water transitional, coastal and marine water stations used to monitor riverine input loads, provided by national sources or Marine Conventions. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the FluxStations with their respective Input (load) data.
The QualityBiotaD table contains disaggregated data on hazardous substances in biota, measured at Eionet-Water transitional, coastal or marine water monitoring stations, provided by national sources only. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Quality data with their respective Stations and Pressures data.
The QualitySedimentD table contains disaggregated data on hazardous substances in sediment, measured at Eionet-Water transitional, coastal or marine water monitoring stations, provided by national sources only. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Quality data with their respective Stations and Pressures data.
The Inputs table contains data on the yearly riverine inputs of loads to transitional, coastal and marine waters which are monitored at Eionet-Water flux stations, provided by national sources or Marine Conventions. Each flux station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Input data with their respective Flux Stations data.
The Stations table contains the Eionet-Water transitional, coastal and marine water monitoring stations, provided by national sources or Marine Conventions. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Stations with their respective Quality and Pressures data.
The QualityWater table contains aggregated data on nutrients, oxygen and organic matter in seawater, measured at Eionet-Water transitional, coastal or marine water monitoring stations, provided by national sources or Marine Conventions. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Quality data with their respective Stations and Pressures data.
The QualityBiota table contains aggregated data on hazardous substances in biota, measured at Eionet-Water transitional, coastal or marine water monitoring stations, provided by national sources or Marine Conventions. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Quality data with their respective Stations and Pressures data.

Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Quality data with their respective Stations and Pressures data.
The Discharges table contains data on the yearly direct discharges to transitional, coastal and marine waters, provided by national sources or Marine Conventions.
The QualityHSWater table contains aggregated data on hazardous substances in seawater, measured at Eionet-Water transitional, coastal or marine water monitoring stations, provided by national sources or Marine Conventions. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Quality data with their respective Stations and Pressures data.
The Pressures table contains proxy pressure data on the upstream catchment or drainage basin of the Eionet-Water transitional water monitoring stations, or within the River Basin District to which the coastal water monitoring stations have been assigned, provided by national sources. Each station has been assigned a unique Waterbase identifier (WaterbaseID) which can be used to link the Pressures data with their respective Stations and Quality data.
