Additional information

The changes beetween the two periods can be studied by comparing the two layers available for download. The two layers represent respectively the CLC2000 class code and the CLC2006 class code for the areas that experienced change.
Land cover class 523 Sea and ocean (GRID_CODE 44 in the raster data): in order to provide consistency with earlier releases of CLC data, category 523 has been masked in the raster data.
