Germany population distribution
The image shows the real world population distribution in the Ruhr area. Information derived from satellites can be linked with aggregated statistical information to model the population distribution. In this model, land use information derived from satellite data act like a ‘pencil sharpener’ and thereby help to obtain a precise map of population distribution.
