The European Environment Agency's documentary film 'Our Arctic Challenge' received the audience award for best documentary feature in the Oxford International Film Festival in Ohio, USA.

The Oxford International Film Festival, held on 10–13 April 2008, presented over 100 new short and feature-length independent films from around the globe. This was the first festival where 'Our Arctic Challenge' was shown to large audiences.

In July 2007, several members of the EEA staff participated in an adventure race in East Greenland and got the chance to see firsthand the impact of climate change in the Arctic. The fifty-two-minute long documentary presents their observations and looks into the way in which local communities are trying to adapt to climate change.

You may contact the EEA Information Centre to obtain a copy of the film on DVD for personal and educational use.
