Waste•smART — concours créatif

L’Agence européenne pour l’environnement a invité le public européen à partager ses idées sur les déchets en Europe dans le cadre d’un nouveau concours créatif, Waste•smART. Ce concours demandait aux citoyens d’exprimer leurs idées au moyen d’une photo, d’un dessin humoristique ou d’une vidéo. Certains des finalistes du concours Waste•smART sont présentés tout au long deSignaux2014.

Signaux de l'AEE 2014 – Bien-être et environnement Construire une économie circulaire et rationnelle pour l’Europe: Nous extrayons et utilisons plus de ressources que notre planète ne peut en produire dans une période donnée. Les niveaux de consommation et de production ne sont plus acceptables pour la planète et affaiblissent sa capacité de régénération. It argues that economic activities including transport, fishing, offshore energy and tourism should be better managed so that they ensure sustainable health of marine ecosystems.

This report extends the analysis of the green economy, focusing on the environmental pressures associated with resource use patterns and their impact on human health and well-being. Managing municipal solid waste - a review of achievements in 32 European countries Improved waste management is an essential element in efforts to make Europe more resource efficient. One key means of achieving that is by shifting waste management up the waste hierarchy. In recent years these important goals have been integrated into European environmental policy. But national efforts to shift up the waste hierarchy have been under way for longer. Together, these instruments establish a range of waste management targets and broader goals for the years to 2020.
Movements of waste across the EU's internal and external borders This report presents movements of hazardous and certain non-hazardous wastes across borders between EU countries and to and from countries outside the EU. It analyses patterns of waste exports and imports and the driving forces behind them.
