The atlas will be presented through the Eye On Earth portal, developed in a partnership between Microsoft Corporation and the European Environment Agency. As part of this partnership, which combines cutting-edge technology and environmental data, the Eye On Earth portal was recently extended. A new application, AirWatch, now provides information on air quality to more than 500 million people across Europe. For the first time, EEA is bringing together both measured and modelled data and citizens' observations on air quality. The Executive Director of the EEA, Professor Jacqueline McGlade will participate in the side event.
