Local Renewables Conference 2014

The Local Renewables Conference 2014, taking place in Freiburg and Lörrach, Germany from 22 - 24 October 2014, will focus on how to shape regional development through sustainable energy transition. To meet the challenges posed by the ongoing environmental and economic crisis, growing energy instability and resource scarcity, an urgent shift to sustainable economies is needed. The 6th Local Renewables Conference puts particular emphasis on the key role of the local level, the importance of renewable energy and improving energy efficiency within this shift. Organised in cooperation with the City of Freiburg and the City of Lörrach, this event is part of a conference series launched in 2007 and explores the different sources of local renewable solutions in order to promote sustainability at a regional and local level. Join us and explore how cities and regions can embrace clean, sustainable energy solutions, and tackle financial, planning and regulatory challenges.
