DESCRIPTION:Journalists at the national level may not be fully aware o
 f the key environmental challenges in the UNECE region\, the “Enviro
 nment for Europe” process and its role in addressing major environme
 ntal challenges and transboundary issues to be discussed at the Sevent
 h “Environment for Europe” Ministerial Conference. Journalists wil
 l be able to improve their knowledge and capacity to report effectivel
 y on environmental issues. This is particularly pertinent in relation 
 to the green economy as it is an emerging concept.\n \n\nThe workshop 
 programme is based on the key Conference reports and products\, allowi
 ng journalists from the UNECE region to deepen their understanding of 
 key environmental issues that will be discussed by the Conference. It 
 is also building on journalists’ professional skills and knowledge o
 f quality journalism standards in the field of environmental and polic
 y reporting.
