I DO launch event – a collective European action on climate change: OPEN TO THE PUBLIC UPON REGISTRATION. 'I do' is the message of ACCENT, a European project bringing together science centres and museums in a collective action on climate change in 2010.

Local Government Climate Lounge — Time for REAL QUESTIONS: OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, BUT SPACE IS LIMITED. During the two weeks of COP15, the Local Government Climate LOUNGE will be the place for local governments from around the world for dialogue and interaction with their national government, with other national governments, with other local governments, NGOs and the international press.

Chronicles of Ecotopia: Telling stories about Sustainable Futures: OPEN TO THE PUBLIC UPON REGISTRATION. The role of creatives, designers and policymakers has never been more important - both in making a new society desirable and the nuts and bolts of making it work. The Chronicles of Ecotopia is a film showing, followed by a discussion that explores the role of creating aspirational stories and visions of positive futures. Just as the 'Futurama', 'Autotopia' exhibitions defined much of the way we live in the 20th Century, moves are now underway to create the same collective positive vision for the 21st Century.

Fighting Deforestation – Solutions and Commitments Beyond Copenhagen: OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. The Swedish Postcode Lottery is cooperating with National Geographic for the COP15 and will present a new outdoor photo exhibition that illustrates the devastating effects of deforestation in Borneo through the eyes of Tebaran, a member of the dying nomadic Penan tribe of Borneo, and a wanted man because of his struggle to save the rainforest.

GoodPlanet at the Danish Film Institute: OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. On the occasion of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP15) in Copenhagen, the GoodPlanet Foundation will be organising free projections of various films on climate change and the environment at the Danish Film Institute (DFI).

Interactive Climate Visualisation: OPEN TO THE PUBLIC UPON REGISTRATION. In this seminar we will preview the visualisation development project ICE (Integrated Climate visualisation Environment) and present the Global Adaptation Atlas (Resources for the Future) and the GETOnline (Global Energy Transition Model) from Chalmers University of Technology.

EEA kicks off public activities in the run-up to COP15: On the occasion of Copenhagen Culture Night, the European Environment Agency (EEA) unveils today a webpage on its activities related to the international climate conference 'COP15'. The new webpage explains the EEA's role in the context of the international climate conference. It allows the public to explore the role of the EEA as leading European body providing authoritative information on the effects of climate change mitigation policies and the impacts of climate change.
